This site contains the family tree for the Pleshek family in the Shawano/Kaukauna area.

Jacob Pleshek and Catherine Tomashek (Roy, Roger, Violet and Lila's great-great grandparents) immigrated to the U.S. in 1869 from Mezna, Bohemia. From birth and marriage records in Bohemia, it was found that their last names were actually Jacub "Plesak" (pronounced "Pleshak") and Katerina "Tomasu" - their names had been changed when they entered the U.S.

A lot of my information came from the research done by Metodej Plesek (thank you!). His web site has given me most of the information I have on Jacub (Jacob), Katerina (Catherine) and Jacub's father Jan (John).
